Students Take Flight

Representatives from BETA Technologies were on campus this week to offer students the chance to pilot their groundbreaking planes using a pair of simulators. Located in South Burlington, the company is leading the way in designing and constructing lightweight, electric aircraft that combine the aviation benefits of a helicopter and a traditional plane and utilize BETA’s patented electric propulsion systems and produce zero operational emissions. Monday’s visit also showed SJA students that a future in the high-tech aeronautical industry is possible in Vermont.
