Green Day

 

Calling all College Bound Hilltoppers!! The following colleges have visits today: Vermont Army National Guard Recruiter at 10 am—Colby Conference Room; University of California Santa Cruz at 2 pm—Zoom Meeting—Colby Conf. Room. Be sure to sign up for their visits on Naviance and to view all details. If you are scheduled to be in class during the time of the visit, please check in with your teacher before coming to the college visit.

 

The following colleges will have visits tomorrow: Utica College and The University of Tennessee – Knoxville. Be sure to visit Naviance to sign up for all college visits.

 

After school today, you can help our Chinese students celebrate their Mid-Autumn festival. You won’t need to dance or sing. Just get there early enough to enjoy a delicious homemade mooncake, and please linger and meet with your friends or make new ones. At the Academy, the Mid-Autumn Festival is an example of how diversity is a blessing to a community. See you there!

 

The senior class is hosting the first school dance of the year this Saturday night on Stowe Green from 7-10 pm. Admission is $3 per student or $5 per couple. You must present your school ID for entrance. Don’t have your school ID card yet? No worries; we’ll check your name at the entrance. There will be prizes, a few fun surprises, and music from one of the best DJs in town. No entry after 9 pm, and you will not be allowed re-enter once you leave. Masks are mandatory. Grab your date, grab your friends, and join the senior class for a night of good music and dancing. Remember folks, this event is for Academy students only. Let’s glow together! 

 

Academy Theatre will be meeting today after school in the Blackbox from 3:30-4:30pm. Those interested in opportunities onstage, and backstage are urged to attend. Mr. Walker will be announcing plans for the Spring Musical. Come and be ready to move and have some theatre fun!

 

SCOPE will meet today at 3:30 in Mrs. Morris’s room. If you’re already a member, please check your email for meeting details. Are you interested in what SCOPE is all about? Come check us out! That’s today at 3:30 in Ranger 212. See Mrs. Begin or Mrs. Morris if you have any questions.

 

Mountain Bikers: we have a club ride today. The bus will leave Brantview Drive at 3:35. Check your stjlabs email for more information.

 

We had so much fun last Tuesday learning Salsa steps! Come join us as we continue to learn basic and easy Salsa steps in Newell Hall 25. No partners needed and no experience is necessary. Today after Conference Period in Newell 25 with Ms. Woods!

 

The Garden Club will meet today at the Tower House after conference period to continue dividing perennials for use in future projects.
