Attention Writers’ Block — we’ll meet in the library today at 3:30 to hear SJA alum and author Adrienne Raphel read from her books of poetry and non-fiction. There will be cookies. See you there!  All members of the school community who are interested are encouraged to attend!

 

Boogie Down this Friday at the Sophomore DISCO Dance in the Dining Hall from 8:00-10:30. The cost will be $3 person/ $5 two people. Doors close at 9:00. Bring your moves, and maybe something that glitters.

 

An Air Force recruiter will be on campus today from 10-10:30 in the Colby Conference Room. Please be sure to check in with your teacher before heading to the visit. Attendance will be turned in at the Main Office. 

 

Rutger’s University will be in the Colby Conference room from 1-1:30 today. Please see Naviance for details.

 

All 9th Graders in the VSAC GEAR UP program with Ms. Turner are asked to please check in with her in the dining hall at lunchtime today. You are encouraged to check your email, and to make other arrangements to connect with Ms. Turner if you are not able to check in today. 

 

Attention International Students — Any student wanting to take the April 15th TOEFL must register by 3 PM tomorrow. A link to register for the April TOEFL has been sent to your STJLabs email. See Mrs. McCaffrey in the Guidance Office with any questions.

 

Spring Talent Show Sign-ups continue. Bands, please sign up for slots on either Thursday April 6th or Friday April 7th as we will have equipment out for you those days. Individual singers, vocal ensembles, dancers, dance groups, and other individual or group acts please sign up for auditions Monday April 3rd through Wednesday April 5th. Sign-ups are with Mr. LaCroix in the Student Life Office. This event is open to faculty and staff acts as well. Audition slots are first come first serve, so be sure to get your slot today. Please tell your talented friends and teachers to come out and audition!

 

A reminder that the Outing Club will be meeting this week at 3:15pm today in Ranger 215. You do not have to have come to an Outing Club event before in order to attend. Please see Mr. Demsky with any questions. See you Thursday; until then, be excellent to each other. 

 

The Maker Space is open today starting at 3:45 for crafting and collaboration. The Maker Space is located on the first floor of Streeter Hall, behind the dining hall and across from the wood shop. See Dr. Desjardins with questions or just come join the fun this afternoon.

 

Four contenders remain on the court — four beloved books from when you were younger now must compete in the Semi-final round of March Madness 2023. Two heavy hitting book series, two adored long shots; which will be voted into the final? Your vote matters! Check your labs email for the ballot or drop by the library to vote in person. This round closes Monday, so vote for your two favorites today!
