Green Day / Class Theme Day

Today’s schedule will be as follows: Chapel, A, B, D, E, and C block, followed by Spirit Week preparation starting at 12:30pm! A reminder that this is a school day, and the expectation is that you will remain on campus until at least 2:40pm.

Tomorrow will also be an abbreviated ABDEC schedule with no morning Chapel and Pep Chapel beginning in Fuller Hall at 12:45pm. Please report directly to your A block classes by 7:55am tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow is a free Green & White Variety Day! Wear your favorite Hilltopper gear or anything green and white to show your school spirit!

Ballots for Spirit Week Squad will arrive in your stjlabs accounts right after Chapel this morning. Be sure to cast your vote by 3:30 pm for your Top Toppers!

The Spirit Week Dance will be from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday night in the Alumni Gym. The cost is $2.

Please note that the bonfire will be taking place in the lower student parking lot near the shelf this year, which means that part of that lot will be blocked off for the entire day tomorrow. Please be prepared to arrive earlier than normal tomorrow morning to find a parking spot.

Today’s the big day to get all things Spirit Week ready: Seniors — join the Hallway and Float prep in the Truck Shop, and Skit in SV23. Juniors — Skit prep will be in Severance 15, Float in Streeter 141, and Hallway in Ranger 112. Sophomores — Skit in Streeter 227, Float in the construction shop, and Hallway in Streeter 225, and 9th graders — Skit in the Resident Life office, Float in the Morse Stagecraft room, and Hallway in Morse 203. Help your class be the most spirited class in SJA history!

Don’t forget to check your stjlabs email for a full list of events and times of all Spirit Week activities, including the Pep Rally, Bon Fire, Pizza Party, The Game, and Victory Dance on Saturday!

A reminder that to participate in the Spirit Week activities on Friday night and the dance on Saturday night, you must be in school tomorrow.

The cheer team would like to thank everyone who came out on Tuesday night for the flag football tournament. We raised a total of $600 for breast cancer research. The support was greater than we could ever have imagined. Special shout out to Mr. Holden, Mr. Yates, Mr. Rainville, Mr. Hale, Mr. Carr, and Mr. John Lovett for their assistance in making the tournament possible. We already have plans to make next year’s tournament even better and we hope to see you there.

Research in the past decade has demonstrated that gratitude and appreciation are the traits most associated with people considering themselves happy. Please enjoy the next few days with a sense of gratitude that you are a Hilltopper! And in terms of appreciation, just remember that any gift you receive in life should not be about the gift, it should be about the cardboard box the gift comes in. Please bring cardboard to the trailer on Brantview Drive today and tomorrow morning or to the Bonfire site tomorrow afternoon.

To kick off this Thursday in style, here’s Mr. Camelio’s Joke of the Week: The inventor of the ballet skirt struggled for a name until he finally put tu and tu together. 😊
