Green Day 

 

A reminder that Jenks Studio will be here this week to take photos! Freshmen and Sophomores—please be sure to go to Fuller Hall during your assigned times.  Juniors or any senior needing your photo taken—please stop by Fuller Hall on Wednesday or Thursday during your free block. Please be sure to enter in the front doors of Fuller Hall and check in with Mr. Jenks’ assistant upon arrival.

 

Calling all College Bound Hilltoppers!! The following colleges have visits today: Roger Williams University at 1pm —Colby Conference Room; Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Daytona Beach via Zoom at 1:30pm; University of New Hampshire at 2pm—Colby Conference Room.  Be sure to sign up for their visits on Naviance and to view all details.  If you are scheduled to be in class during the time of the visit, please check in with your teacher before coming to the college visit.

 

The following colleges will have visits tomorrow: Drew University and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine.  Be sure to visit Naviance to sign up for all college visits.

 

Academy Theatre will be producing the hit Broadway musical MAMMA MIA in May! All new and current members who are interested in performing in the upcoming Chapel Performance promoting the show are encouraged to attend rehearsals Tuesdays after school in the Black Box from 3:30-4:30pm. Tech students who are interested in participating in the Academy A/V tech internship program please contact Taylor Ford.

 

Are you looking for something to do on Tuesday afternoons? Why don’t you come to the pool at 3:30 pm and join our Pool Games club? Bring a bathing suit, a towel, and desire to play!! Questions: see Ms. Meranze in Colby 206 or Mr. Mesics in Newell Hall.

Boys JV-B Soccer lost to Mt. Mansfield, 2-1.

 

Varsity Volleyball lost to Mt. Mansfield, 3-1.

 

Varsity Football lost to Rutland, 28-14, on Friday.

 

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for their win in a six-team meet.  Adele Bernier placed 4th, Hazel Fay 5th, Peyton Qualter 7th, Bennett Crance 8th, and McKenna Crance in 10th to round out the top 5 scorers. 

 

Varsity Girls Soccer beat BFA, 2-0.  Kaia Anderson and Sophia Shippee both scored on passes from Maren Nitsche. 

 

Varsity Boys Soccer lost to Burlington, 1-0; however, the JV team beat Burlington, 7-2, with 7 different players scoring for the team! 

 

Varsity Field Hockey beat Milton, 6-0.  Kyara Rutledge, Taylor Farnsworth, Madigan Maurer, Hannah MacDonald, and Liv Eberherdt all scored, and Maddie Hurlbert was in goal on the shutout!   The JV Field Hockey team beat Essex, 3-1, with goals from Sofia Limoges and Alexandra Mosher. 

 

On Saturday at the Manchester Invitational, Evan Thornton-Sherman placed 2nd, Hale Boyden 14th, Nathan Lenzini 55th and Andrew Thornton-Sherman 68th to lead the boys XC team. The race featured schools from across New England and the team placed 7th out of 33 and was the 3rd Vermont school.

 

Tyler Demas went the distance against Anderson Blanco on Saturday, losing his 3 round Championship match by judges decision. Congratulations to Tyler for his amazing run to the New England Boxing Championships!
