October 29, 2020

Michelle Ziter Fox ’96 is the program director at Arlington School in St. Johnsbury.

Arlington School, an independent high school for students who need an alternative setting to traditional school and may require therapeutic support.

Amanda Bergeron McFarland ’93 wrote in to recommend Michelle and her team for alumni recognition. She shared:

Michelle has led the school, staff and students by example. She is passionate, dedicated, driven, caring and FUN; Michelle and the staff at Arlington have worked so very hard to build and develop this alternative education program option for the success of the youth in our community. I am proud to know Michelle and to be a part of a community who can recognize the shining stars among us!

When notified of the recommendation, Michelle wrote:

I think what makes our school so special, is the sense of community our staff have worked so hard to build. Relationships are at the core of what we do every day. All of the staff work tirelessly to provide the best educational and social emotional experience for our students on a daily basis. One that’s built around honor, integrity and engagement. We are constantly reassessing what we are doing to ensure we are meeting the needs of our students and school community.  This year has challenged us to create a new normal that is constantly evolving. I could not be more proud of our team, our students and our families. Together we make the Arlington School great!

Thank you to Michelle and this team of educators at Arlington School:
