Cooking 101: Stretching your food dollars

Are you finding it difficult to keep your groceries within budget? Is inflation taking a toll on your grocery bill? In this three-hour cooking class, you will learn how to turn one chicken into five different meals:  a week’s worth of food.  While preparing the chicken you will learn practical tips to make your grocery money stretch a little further. You’ll leave the class with meals you have prepared yourself.

 

Instructor: Jim Libbey

 

Jim Libbey is a distinguished chef and entrepreneur in the community. He has served as the head chef teaching culinary skills to students at SJA’s Hilltopper Restaurant, where many of his students have gone on to prestigious positions as chefs across the United States. He left his position with SJA’s culinary program to start Libbey’s Meat Market, which he built into a shop renowned for the quality of its product. Now retired, he shares his years of experience and talent through consulting and teaching adult education cooking courses.
