Green Day

Students who have signed up for the Flu Clinic — please remember to come to the Field House between 9:00am and 2:00pm today to get your vaccine during your lunch or study hall block.

Today is the day to give blood! The Blood Drive is in the Field House. For people with confirmed appointments, be sure to check your email to access and complete the Rapid Pass. This will hopefully shorten the wait time for your donation. Thank you for giving the gift of life!

Student Government will meet on Thursday at 3:10 in the Mayo Lounge. Please see Mr. Ryan or Rory with any questions or conflicts.

All resident students who are going on the Thanksgiving Break trip to Boston, there will be a mandatory meeting after school in ResLife tomorrow at 3:30pm with Mr. Robillard. Please plan to be there.

The end of wreath selling season is upon us!  Juniors today is the deadline to return your final order forms to Guidance so we can submit our order to the wreath company. Don’t forget! Drop by the Guidance Office by the end of the day today to return your wreath orders. See Ms. Huntington or Ms. Carr with any questions.

Resident Students — please remember to stop by the Student Life Office to see Mr. Lacroix if you are interested in purchasing a ski season pass.

Attention International Students — The registration deadline for the Dec 10th TOEFL is tomorrow at noon! Any student needing to take the December 10th TOEFL should stop by the Guidance Office to register with Mrs. McCaffrey.

Badminton Club meets today at 3:40 in the Field House. Did you know… the fastest badminton smash ever recorded was a blistering 306mph — that’s 493 kilometers per hour — by Tan Boon Heong of Malaysia. This is how Ms. Smith feels when Joey Zhuo is serving to her! Come join the high-speed fun! Badminton Club. Today. 3:40. Field House. All are welcome.

The Math Team will meet today for the AMC 10/12 contest in Severance 15 @ 3:45pm. All students are welcome to join us. We look forward to seeing you there! Be there or be squared!

The Maker Space will be open this afternoon for creativity and camaraderie. It’s a great time to start thinking about making someone a custom holiday gift! See you in Streeter 141 starting at 3:45.

Please help create a Mural of Gratitude in the library. What are you thankful for — perhaps a beloved pet, a devoted teacher, the sun, a perfectly browned piece of toast, your favorite shoes? Send an image that evokes that thankfulness to library@stjlabs.com. Add a note, perhaps? What you send will be printed out and added to the community mural in the library. Don’t want to use email? Stop by in person and add your drawings and words to the wall. Gratitude is a practice; help SJA practice it this month through this shared project.

Now, to put a smile on all your faces — Mr. Camelio’s Joke of the Week: Why did the farmer have to separate the chicken and the turkey before Thanksgiving? He sensed fowl play. Happy Thanksgiving from Mr. Camelio!

Happy Birthday today to Nicholas Wright!
