The school would like to thank a special group of students who have chosen to volunteer one block per week to tutor a peer. This is emblematic of the Academy’s mission, to give of oneself to help others. The following students have done an excellent job of modeling our mission and our hope for the future; when someone has asked for help, we go out of our way to assist them, giving of ourselves and our time. We would like to thank Madi Downer, Madigan Mauer, Rose Sullivan, Laura Ponoran, Dylan Wilcox, Will Kimber, Tyler Holm, Aidan Brody, Erin Langlais, Peyton Qualter, Willem Barnhardt, Kadynce DeWeese Crane, and Ella Switser. Your dedication to your peers has had a considerable impact and has been greatly appreciated. Thank you all!

Imagine having some spare time, a mug of something warm, a cozy blanket, a quiet corner, and a book in hand that you’ve always wanted to read. Maybe even a big pile of books to explore. Now’s the time to put the wheels in motion and make that dream a reality. The library is brimming with extraordinary books—love stories, manga, graphic novels, fantasy, scifi, poetry, memoirs, non-fiction and more—both on shelves and in big, messy displays disarranged for your browsing pleasure. Books checked out now are not due back until after break, so make your dream of pleasure reading a reality. Plus—if you would like to receive the weekly library slideshows of new books, themes, author spotlights and more, email library@stjlabs to be added to the mailing list.

Don’t miss out on this once in a generation opportunity to climb ice with St. Johnsbury Academy in December! We still have a few spots left for Sunday’s ice climbing trip to Kinsman Notch. You must get a permission slip and see Mr. Weiss in Colby 209 to get fit for your boots. We will leave at 9AM from Brantview Drive.

The Debate and Discussion will meet for the last time this semester today in Colby 209 after Conference Period. We will discuss feminism. All are welcome.

Happy Birthday today to Biset Zellinger!
