The Class of 2020
Congratulations to the Class of 2020! Faced with a senior year that ended in ways they never could have expected, they worked hard and persevered to finish out their high school careers with success.
The Class of 2020 has made the best of a non-traditional graduation by coming together in unique ways to celebrate their accomplishments. Through this, they have achieved numerous F.I.S.H. (First in School History) events — a car parade, drive-in movie, fireworks, 3 days commencement activities, and diploma ceremonies with advisory groups and/or small groups of families. They drove through the town filled with pride and joy, joined together at the movie for an emotional look back and to celebrate, and received their awards and diplomas with respect and honor.
The community came together to celebrate and to show love and support. Events were watched around the world on NSN Sports Network so those who couldn’t be here in person were still part of the festivities.
Thank you to the Class of 2020 for bringing joy to all of us with the enthusiastic celebration of your graduation! As Headmaster Lovett advises each year, you ended your time at SJA gracefully, gratefully and graciously. St. Johnsbury Academy is a better place because of you and we can’t wait to see what your futures bring.
