The votes are in and this year’s Winter Carnival theme is…Cartoons! Classes will choose the subtheme on Friday.
St. Johnsbury Academy will be hosting “SJA Has Talent” — SJA’s annual talent show — on April 5th in Fuller Hall. HILLS Members interested in planning and promoting this event are invited to meet upstairs in Fuller Hall today during Conference Period. Please note — we will be upstairs in Fuller, instead of in Fuller Basement. HILLS members who are interested in helping but unable to attend should contact Mr. Lovett directly.
GREASE is the word! Academy Theatre will be holding open auditions for its spring musical GREASE! in the next couple of weeks. All audition and show information will be distributed on the Academy Theatre canvas page. If you would like to be added to the page, please email Mr. Walker.

Join the Outing Club as we go on our first ice climbing trip of the season this Sunday, February 4th. We will be going to Lake Willoughby to climb some of the most renown ice climbs on the east coast! No experience necessary, we will teach you the basics of sending yourself up walls of ice! There will be a mandatory meeting on Friday right after school for anyone attending the trip. See Mr. Holden for details.
The Student Athletic Advisory Council invites you to vote for this week’s Caledonian Record Athlete of the Week nominees. On the boys’ side: Andrew Thornton-Sherman from Indoor Track. On the girls’ side: Brooke White from Indoor Track or Alaiza Roth from Snowboarding.
On February 8th, the Pancake Eating Contest will take place at 3pm in the dining hall. Make sure that if you are competing, that you are in good competitive eating shape. If you are concerned that you sitting with a giant pan of pancakes is dangerous, please consider the wood Sawing event taking place in front of the Mayo Center at the same time!
