Classroom Dates: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday | July 22nd – August 16th

Classroom Time: 9:00AM–2:30PM

Classroom Hours Total: 64

 

Skills Lab and Clinical Location: NVRH

Skills Lab and Clinical Classroom Dates: Thursday & Friday | July 25th – August 16th

Skills Lab Time: 8:00AM–4:00PM

Clinical Hours: 16 hours

Skills Lab & Clinical Hours Total: 48

 

 

Tuition: $2200

Tuition support may be available through federal, state of local resources. 

 

 

Tuition Includes:

  • Hartman Nursing Assistant Workbook

  • LNA Entrance Examination

 

Tuition Does Not Include:

  • Uniform

  • Background check fees

  • State Licensing Fees

 

 

To hold a seat in the class, we are asking for a $200 registration fee that will go towards the total tuition cost. The $200 is a filing fee and is not refundable. You are not enrolled in the class until you pay the tuition in full. Tuition must be paid by the first-class meeting, on July 22, 2024. Course Description:

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives? Join the Nursing Pathway Collaborative Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) training program at SJA Adult Education and NVRH and embark on a fulfilling journey in the healthcare field. This comprehensive program is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel as an LNA. Our experienced instructors provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment, guiding students through a curriculum that covers fundamental healthcare principles, patient care techniques, and the ethical considerations integral to the role of LNAs.

 

Throughout the program, students will engage in hands-on clinical experiences that simulate real-world healthcare settings, allowing them to apply their knowledge in a practical context. Whether you’re pursuing a career in healthcare for the first time or seeking to expand your skills, our LNA training program is tailored to meet the diverse needs of adult learners. TABE Testing Information:

In order to ensure success we would like students to take the TABE assessment given by NEKLS. Instructors:

 

Phyllis Mitchell, Classroom Instructor and LNA Program Administrator

Phyllis Mitchell has more than forty years of progressive nursing experience. Her extensive background includes being the executive director of the State of Vermont Board of Nursing and the Site Director for the Northeast Kingdom Vermont Technical College Nursing Education Program at Lyndon. She has a Masters of Science in Nursing Education and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 

 

Carol Hodges, Skills Lab and Clinical Instructor

Carol Hodges is a highly skilled career professional with more than twenty years of practical experience in hospital, home health, primary care and academia. She serves as the hospital nurse supervisor at NVRH and has been teaching skills and clinical nursing for over 20 years. She has a Bachelors and a Masters of Science in Nursing.
