Course Description:

Background Check:
A background check will be required in order to participate in clinicals. These background checks can be time consuming please contact one of the identification centers on this list.
TABE Testing Information:
In order to ensure success we would like students to take the TABE assessment given by NEKLS. You can schedule this testing with Sarah Roy by emailing her at sarah.roy@NEKLSVT.org or calling her at 802-673-7661. Instructors:
Phyllis Mitchell, Classroom Instructor and LNA Program Administrator
Phyllis Mitchell has more than forty years of progressive nursing experience. Her extensive background includes being the executive director of the State of Vermont Board of Nursing and the Site Director for the Northeast Kingdom Vermont Technical College Nursing Education Program at Lyndon. She has a Masters of Science in Nursing Education and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Carol Hodges, Skills Lab and Clinical Instructor
Carol Hodges is a highly skilled career professional with more than twenty years of practical experience in hospital, home health, primary care and academia. She serves as the hospital nurse supervisor at NVRH and has been teaching skills and clinical nursing for over 20 years. She has a Bachelors and a Masters of Science in Nursing.
