“Having the opportunity to remain involved with Governor’s since my graduation, I feel it is critical to support the experience that being a member of the Govs family affords. I encourage others to do the same. My approach to life was forever changed over 50 years ago when I was a student by the special culture and environment in Byfield. It is important to ensure that our 258-year tradition thrives for the benefit of future generations of students. I am proud to be a trustee during this exciting and transformative time.”

“This project is essential to our school, town, and community — to inspire and ensure a bright future for generations to come. By giving a gift to the campaign, you’ll secure your legacy and leave a lasting impact on our students and, in turn, St. Johnsbury Academy and the region.”

“As a 1965 graduate, I am so proud of what my alma mater has become! Your support of this campaign will make SJA the envy of most schools in New England. While there have been maintenance and upgrades needed for some time, I’m happy that SJA is now addressing those needs while also creating a space that will better serve the school and community well into the future. A new roof for the field house and energy efficient upgrades to the building; bringing student areas up to Title IX compliance; improving the workout and training rooms so all students can appreciate them; creating a student center where students have a safe place to relax together outside of the regular academic day; space for educating students on physical and mental wellness; and a place where our community can enjoy our facilities for special events and activities.
Even more important is to build our endowment up to a standard that our school deserves. Adding to the endowment and annual fund will bring us to a better place when facing unexpected costs in the future.
I love my school, and these improvements will make us all extremely proud of our alma mater. Go Hilltoppers!”
