New England Championships
Evan Thornton-Sherman placed 2nd in the 3200 meter run to lead the Hilltoppers at the New England Championships. Evan teamed with Hale Boyden, Nathaniel Bernier and Andrew Thornton-Sherman to break the Vermont state record in the 4×800 relay by over 2 seconds and place 3rd in the championship meet. These were the top Vermont finishers in the competition which brings together the top 6 athletes in each event from the 6 New England States. Jaden Thomson placed 24th in the 100m Andrew Bugbee placed 20th with Jaden 21st in the 200m, Kai Liljequist 26th in the 1600 with a personal best. Andrew Thornton-Sherman placed 18th in the 300 hurdles as top Vermonter and only freshman in the event. Jaden Thomson, Jaden Beardsley, Carbur Rousseau and Andrew Bugbee placed 18th in the 4×100, and Carbur, Andrew T-S, Andrew Bugbee and Evan placed 14th in the 4×400 in the states 2nd best time of the season.
Lizzy Jones placed 31st in discus and shot put, the 4×800 relay of Wisteria Franklin, Peyton Qualter, Hazel Fay and Franny Cozzens placed 28th. the 4×400 relay of Rylee Strohm, Brooke White, Peyton and Franny placed 26th mising out as top Vermont team by .07 seconds. and the 4×100 relay of Brooke, Rylee, Franny and Peyton placed 27th.
