Colwell Speaker Series
Diego F. Osorio, a Fellow with the Weatherhead Scholars Program at Harvard University, a Senior Advisor to the Government of Canada, a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University, and an Adjunct Professor at Adler University, will deliver a speech on climate change titled “Climate change, peace and security: How resilience is the key to face the challenge of our times” in the Mayo Center (fireside) at 7:00 PM.
Mr. Osorio’s research interests include Climate change, peace, and security; fragility and conflict prevention, dialogue, mediation, and negotiation; use of complexity science and climate-related conflicts; and geopolitics and the political economy of climate security.
During the day, Mr. Osorio will be joined by his wife, Dr. Vivian Valencia to meet with students and their teachers. Dr. Valencia is the Research Chair for Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Action at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec.
